Build (23.2) (Aug 2023)

The EQuIS 7.23.2 Build files are available in the "Products" folder on the Downloads Dashboard of the EarthSoft Community Center. Please review the known issues listed below.

A list of reports as well as Schema files and database scripts updated in this release can be found later in this article.

EarthSoft has replaced the Geotechnical Module with EQuIS Geotech, a comprehensive geotechnical data management system that includes a separate Schema, format files, numerous standard reports and templates, widgets, and configured dashboards. EQuIS Geotech provides web forms for data entry, customizable reporting templates, and geotechnical-specific workflow components.

This build includes the following highlights:

•Third Party Components

•Upgraded Syncfusion dependencies to version 21.1.41. Reports (or other customizations) compiled against older versions of Syncfusion should continue to work but, in some instances, may need to be recompiled with the new version reference.

Per our Product Support Lifecycle, this release will be supported for 24 months.

Known Issues: All known issues will be considered for fixing in a future release.

•ArcEQuIS

•Compatibility issues with EnviroInsite functionality when running ArcEQuIS in ArcGIS Pro 3.0+. ArcEQuIS 7.23.2 (and hotfixes for 7.22.3 and 7.23.1) will be released soon to restore this functionality.

•Collect and the Web Forms widget:

•If there are duplicate values according to the Unique Data Set field, the duplicate values will be deleted when using the Refresh functionality.

•Collect Enterprise:

•Multi Selector and Group Multi Selector field types are not displaying the "Multi Select Delimiter" option. The default value for the "Multi Select Delimiter" is a comma (,) which is being applied in Collect Mobile.

•The Data Forms page will no longer display data in the User Groups column after opening the Uploaded or Status columns of a Data Form. User group data will be displayed again after refreshing using the Refresh button in the upper right corner of the Data Forms page.

•Users without an Admin role can remove members of a User Group from that group but are unable to add users to User Groups.

•The Allow Form Refresh check box does not return to the default value (i.e., unchecked) when switching templates while creating a new data form.

•Not all formulas are evaluating as expected when using the "Test" tab functionality to assess the output of a formula in the Formula Builder.

•The Drag/Drop functionality is not working when adjusting the Collect widget settings while using Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge.

•Collect Mobile:

•An error is displayed when attempting to load a Collect Mobile backup package on Windows 11, resulting in the backup package not being loaded.

•Using Windows 11, generating a report (e.g., Form Summary, COC, etc.) and attempting to save the report to OneDrive will cause Collect Mobile to crash. This issue may also occur with other 3rd party cloud storage services (e.g., Dropbox, Box, etc.). The workaround is to download the report to the internal storage of your device and then upload it to cloud storage.

•Enterprise:

•When a webhook request to an external resource fails, Workflow continues to attempt to run the hook multiple times each minute instead of stopping the process after a certain number of attempts.

•The Workflow EmailRetrieve agent stops processing EDDs if an invalid attachment in the email inbox is encountered, which interrupts the loading of the current EDD and stops all subsequent EDDs from being processed by the EmailRetrieve agent.

•The status.aspx web page shows an incorrect FAIL status for all Live File Processor Workflow EFD configurations.

•When Remarks are added to data points in a Live Historical Chart widget, the datum values saved to the database are not correctly converted to UTC from the timezone configured for displaying data points, causing incorrect date range values.

•EQuIS Link:

•The "Evaluate" functionality for assessing the output of a formula is not working.

•TRX files that do not contain a [PEAK POINT] section do not load properly in Link. The workaround is to add a [PEAK POINT] section to each file, or configure equipment to do so.

•Professional:

•The SampleTestResult III Form encounters an error if the parameters are adjusted and rerun, or upon attempting to save the changes. As an alternative, use the SampleTestResult II Form, available as a button in the EQuIS Professional report toolbars for Analytical Results II.

•XML-structured files downloaded through the EQuIS Professional Docs & Photos Form are missing the final ">" of the closing tag. To avoid issues, download these files via the EQuIS Blobber Form in EQuIS Professional or the Explorer widget in EQuIS Enterprise.

•SPM:

•The SPM - Labels Report can throw an error stating "Text length is greater than the version capacity" when run with variable task code report parameter selections. The cause of this behavior has been identified and hotfixed for the 7.23.1 and 7.23.2 Builds. The fix will be included in the 7.23.3 Build. For more information, please see the Forum post.

Report Files

Republishing reports is an additional step that an admin-level user can perform after an installation or build upgrade. Below are the reports that have been updated or created with this release. EarthSoft recommends reports be republished for this build of EQuIS if they have already been published to the database.

As you run user reports and custom reports built on any republished reports, please ensure that they function as expected. If not, they should be rebuilt (e.g., reloaded with the published report, new parameters selected if needed, and user reports resaved or custom reports republished). Added report parameters or changes to the DISPLAY_TYPE of report parameters are most likely to affect user reports.
