Description: The EIA: New Locations report can be used to notify users when records are added to the DT_LOCATION table, either via EDD or manual entry.

Installation Instructions: This report requires a licensed SPM and the SPM Schema applied to the database. For SPM usage, no additional steps are necessary. For Enterprise use, this report should be published to the database. When publishing the report, the assembly should be stored in the database. The report will be available for selection once it has been published.

Overview:

By design, the first execution of the report or EQuIS Information Agent (EIA) is not limited to new locations. The default value of the last_date parameter is defined as the day before the earliest start_date of DT_LOCATION, so the initial report output includes all the records of DT_LOCATION of the logged in facility.

Once the report is saved as a user report or an EIA is setup and is executed, the latest start_date of DT_LOCATION of the facility is saved into the default value of the last_date parameter of the user report or EIA. The report logic compares DT_LOCATION.START_DATE to the last_date saved from the last run of the report and generates the results with start_date greater than the last_date or start_date is null. The last_date is stored as a hidden parameter in the ST_USER_REPORT_PARAMETER table.

If listed, the Additional Fields parameter may be customized as explained in How To Customize the Additional Fields Parameter.

Consult an EQuIS administrator if hidden parameters should be visible or use different default values in a published report (a report that allows saving of user reports). Hidden parameters cannot be viewed or changed in unpublished reports outside of a report parameter file.
