Report Name: Geotechnical CPT Parameters (example)
File Name: EarthSoft.Reports.Library.d26526.dll
Dependencies: Licensed EQuIS Geotech and Geotechnical Schema
Software: EQuIS Professional and Enterprise
Source: EQuIS Geotech (EarthSoft Community Center > Products > EQuIS Geotech)
Language: English
Output Type: Excel1 or PDF
Description: The Geotechnical CPT Parameters report produces a graphical output of various calculated Cone Penetration Test (CPT) parameters against depth. This report filters the results based on the selected task and will only display locations that have the appropriate data in the DT_DOWNHOLE_POINT_DATA table. This report references the EQUIS.GEOTECH_CPT_DATA database function to grab the related data to report. This report can be run in EQuIS Professional or published to EQuIS Enterprise.
X-axis parameters supported in this report:
•Sleeve_Friction
•Sleeve_Friction_LOG
•Tip_Resistance
•Tip_Resistance_LOG
•Elastic_Modulus
•Constrained_Modulus
•Eff_Friction_Angle
•N60
•OCR_1
•OCR_2
•Undrained_Shear_Strength
•Undrain_Shear_Strength_vs_Elev
Y-axis parameters supported in this report:
•Depth
•Elevation
Installation Instructions: This report requires an EQuIS Geotech license and the Geotechnical Schema applied to the database. The Geotechnical CPT Parameters report (EarthSoft.Reports.Library.d26526.dll) is available for download in the Products\EQuIS Geotech folder on the Downloads Dashboard on the EarthSoft Community Center. For Enterprise use, this report should be published to the database. When publishing the report, the assembly should be stored in the database. The report will be available for selection once it has been published.
Note: To run the Geotechnical CPT - Parameters report in Professional, the EarthSoft.Reports.Library.176839.dll file must be copied into the Professional EQuIS folder (the default location is C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS or, for per-user installation, %localappdata%\Programs\EarthSoft\EQuIS\). The EarthSoft.Reports.Library.176839.dll file is a referenced assembly for the EarthSoft.Reports.Library.d26526.dll file and must be present in the directory. |

Additional Details:
This report produces a graphical output of multiple CPT parameters. The parameters included in the output are dependent on the user selected values in the 'X-axis Parameters' report parameter. By default, all of the CPT parameters are included in the output report. The calculated values for each parameter are gathered from the EQUIS.GEOTECH_CPT_DATA function. For details on how each parameter is calculated, please review the Geotechnical Function – EQUIS.GEOTECH_CPT_DATA article.
Note: For the report to produce an output for the 'Undrain_Shear_Strength_vs_Elev' parameter, a record must be present in DT_COORDINATE.ELEV for the selected location(s). |
This report supports task_code based paging.
Template:
The Geotechnical CPT Parameters report is designed to use a selected Microsoft Excel template.
Note: The EarthSoft_CPTParameters.xlsx template file is provided with EQuIS Geotech. See the Geotechnical Template Configuration article for detailed information on editing/creating Excel templates for use with EQuIS Geotech reports. |
The chosen template must have a separate sheet for each supported CPT parameter. Each sheet name in the template must match the following naming conventions:
Parameter Name |
Excel Sheet Name |
---|---|
Sleeve_Friction |
Sleeve_Friction |
Sleeve_Friction_LOG |
Sleeve_Friction_LOG |
Tip_Resistance |
Tip_Resistance |
Tip_Resistance_LOG |
Tip_Resistance_LOG |
Elastic_Modulus |

Constrained_Modulus |
Constrained_Modulus |
Eff_Friction_Angle |

N60 |

OCR_1 |
OCR_2 |
OCR_2 |
Undrained_Shear_Strength |
Undrained_Shear_Strength |
Undrain_Shear_Strength_vs_Elev |
Undrain_Shear_Strength_vs_Elev |
The report is built to respect the chart properties defined within each sheet of the template. This includes the chart type, axis scale type, and the minimum and maximum X/Y axis values. If the minimum/maximum axis values are set to AUTO in the template, then the report dynamically defines these axis values based on the data being plotted. Dynamic unit titles can be used in the chart axis by using the “{pressure_units}” and “{depth_unit}”name manager fields.
Note: When the length of the template name is greater than 19 characters, the report cuts the sheet name to a length of 19, and the report adds _1, _2, _3, …, _n to the end of a sheet name to establish paging. |
