Note: The v54 reports have been superseded by more comprehensive class reports (version ‘II’). The Action Level Exceedance report was replaced by the Action Level Exceedance II reports, such as Action Level Exceedance II with Parameters EarthSoft recommends using the Action Level Exceedance II reports rather than Action Level Exceedance to take advantage of additional features, fixes, and performance optimization.

Description: This report compares values from a saved Analytical Results User Report against one or more action levels (e.g. regulatory limits).

Installation Instructions: This report is part of the EQuIS Schema and is created when the EQuIS database is created. No additional steps are necessary.

Overview:

If an action level is not selected, the results will be compared against all applicable action levels. Action levels may apply to the entire database or they may be specific to a certain facility or sub-facility, a limited time period, a particular analytic method, fraction or matrix (by entering data into the related fields in DT_ACTION_LEVEL). Action levels are only matched to analytical results that have matching criteria.

Report Parameters

Saved Analytical Results Report	Select a previously saved Analytical Results user report.
Action Level(s)	Select one or more Action Levels. Leaving this field blank will compare all applicable action levels.
Comparison
Operator	Select an operator: <, <=, >, >=.
Unit	Select a comparison unit: action_level_unit or report_result_unit.
Exceedance Flag:	Character for flagging exeedances. Leaving blank will return only exceedances in the report output.

Comparison | Operator Parameter: There are four options for the Comparison | Operator parameter:

•"<" Within Limits (Exclusive): The analytical result is flagged as an exceedance if it is less than the action level and, if one exists, greater than the action_level_min. Equalities are not considered exceedances.

•"<=" Within Limits (Inclusive): Same as above, but equalities are considered exceedances.

• ">" Exceeds Limits (Exclusive): The analytical result is flagged as an exceedance if it is greater than the action level or, if one exists, less than the action_level_min. Equalities are not considered exceedances.

•">=" Exceeds Limits (Inclusive) (the default): Same as above, but equalities are considered exceedances.

Comparison | Unit Parameter: There are two options for the Comparison | Unit parameter:

•"report_result_unit": Values will be displayed in the units of the REPORT_RESULT column. Other columns will be converted to matching units as necessary.

•"action_level_unit": Values will be displayed in the units of the ACTION_LEVEL column. Other columns will be converted to matching units as necessary.

Exceedance Flag Parameter: If an exceedance flag is not defined (i.e. the Exceedance Flag parameter field is blank), only results which exceed the applicable action levels are reported and the default character is shown in the flag column for all records. If an exceedance flag is defined in the Exceedance Flag parameter field, all of the results are reported and exceedances are shown by entering that value in the flag column for the exceeding results.
