Use a Single SPM Lab Contract for Multiple Labs

Sometimes it is not known in advance which lab will be used to analyze the samples entered into a task. One way to handle this is to follow the steps below.

1.Create a lab contract for a generic lab. Go to Setup Contracts for details.

2.Create a customized per Create Chain of Custody (COC) Forms for each specific lab that might be used.

3.Assign the Method Analyte Groups (MAGs) per instructions in Define Contract Method Analyte Groups (MAGs) from that lab to the samples in the task.

4.Export the EDD for EDGE.

5.After the samples have been collected and the COC data entered in EDGE, select the COC Template for the appropriate lab when printing the COC.
