Save will save the current EDD under the same name and extension. To save the current EDD under a different file name or extension use Save As.

 

Note that when an EDD is saved from either the Application menu or the Create step, the newly saved file name will be updated in the path name at the bottom of the EDP window, in the Most Recently Used files list, and in the error log.
