Could Not Load File or Assembly Error Message

Symptoms: On several occasions when opening the NYSDEC format, users have encountered the following error when trying to open a format file that was recently distributed.

Unable to read Format File: [path to format file]

Could not load file or assembly 'Infragistics2.Win.v10.2, Version=10.2.20.102.1004, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7dd5c3163f2cd0cb' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Cause/Details: This is because the current format *.dll is referencing a different version of the third party tool, Infragistics.

Resolution/Workaround: With EDP Closed, this error can be resolved with the following steps:

1.Navigate to the Windows temp directory by typing %temp% in the address bar of Windows Explorer;

2.Find the format *.dll, and delete it from this folder (e.g. EQEDD.dll, EFWEDD.dll).

3.Navigate to the directory of the format file, and remove the format dll from the folder with the format file.

4.Launch EDP and open the format file again.
